Truly a Day of Play

It was a blustery, cold, wet day in Ithaca yesterday. Cousin Ben called and asked if wanted to play. So we quickly dressed and packed into the van for a wonderful adventure with Ben, Abby, Alex, Isabel, Phil, Jen, and Bridgid (Stan had to stay home and work...he'll come back with us another day).

Here are some memories from our vist to the the Strong Museum of Play.

The carousel was Abby's favorite spot...no surprises there...
She named her pony Starlight and Isabel named hers Peppermint.

We had to buy seperate tickets for the Butterfly garden but it was really worth it. So peaceful and beautiful. Hundreds of buterrflies to look at and play with.

Here is where the new butterflies are growing and waiting to hatch.

Don't forget to brush your teeth...

It's cold outside Mr. Scarecrow. Let me help you get dressed.

Famous masons Uncle Phil and Abby.

What goes up must come down....with a little help from Alex...

Hanging out with the Bearstein's Bears.

Dressing the for the part...

Isabel proclaimed herself Queen of the world....

All aboard....

Abby found a unicorn near storybook land....need I say more....

Performing on stage...

This is a child sized Wegman's. Children can play all the different roles...shopper, cashier, cart collecter, stock person, baker, butcher... Hmmm did I rememer to buy everything I needed?

Paper, plastic, or did you bring your own bags?
