More 2008 New York State Fair

An angora rabbit getting a hair cut in the poultry building. Sooooo soft!

Watching some ducks take a swim in the poultry building.
Taking a quick break and having a snack. Yummy fair food!
Cows, Cows, and more Cows. The girls loved watching the movie of the baby calf being born they actually sat through the whole 20 minutes mesmorized and wanted to watch it again when it was over.

More pictures from the poultry building. Boy it sure is a building with a lot of animals....chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons, rabbits, guinea pigs, and turkeys.

At the dairy building we rode on the cow merry-go-round and drank yummy chocolate milk from the milk bar. It's still only a quarter a cup and just as delicious as when we were kids.

The butter sculpture, definitely a highlight of every fair visit. This year's theme was the cow jumping over the moon (the dish ran away with the spoon and the little dog laughed to see such a sight). Boy that's a lot of butter!

Back to the barns for some more quality time with our furry friends....Sheep, goats, pigs, llamas, and alpacas.

Over by the horse stables and show ring they had a great tent for the little kids to play in while Abby and the grown ups watched the hunter class jump.
A definitely must see, 4-H youth building. We had lots of fun looking at baby ducks and chicks.
Abby and Egbert had quite a conversation. They were on a first name basis by the time they were done talkking.
At the FFA building everyone practiced milking on Ada the pretend cow.

In the horticulture building artists were very busy building a gigantic sand castle.

The girls took a little rest after dinner while we listened to Eddie Money in the Chevy Court, ate dinner and waited for the parade.
